Build upon existing knowledge from topics taught in Secondary 1 – topics will be expanded upon and covered in greater depth.

New mathematics topics are introduced, such as Quadratic Equations, Simultaneous Equations, Congruence and Similarity, and Trigonometric Ratios.

Sec 1 & Sec 2 Mathematics

As students transition from Primary to Secondary, they will have to learn new topics, pick up new methods to solve problems, and familiarise themselves with problem-solving in a real-world context. Our Sec 1 and 2 Mathematics Programme will help students to build proficiency in foundational topics within the three key areas of Number and Algebra, Geometry and Measurement, and Statistics and Probability. Detailed concept notes, with formulas and worked examples, are provided for students to understand the fundamentals of each topic. Students will reinforce their understanding and mastery of mathematical concepts through weekly practice questions, which are tiered by difficulty level. To better appreciate the practical applications of mathematics concepts, students will also be introduced to real-world scenario problems, where they will collaborate in group discussions to find the right solutions.
